From an early age, making things was an instinct for Collette. Curiosity about materials and structure led to constant experimentation, transforming simple objects into something imaginative and useful. That early hands-on exploration gradually evolved into a professional practice centered on craft, spatial thinking, and artistic expression.

Over the years, experience has grown through many disciplines including fabrication, restoration, set design, sculptural work, and project management. These diverse paths have shaped a perspective that values both precision and creative freedom. Education in music and fine arts further influenced the way rhythm, composition, and balance appear within physical environments.

Today the studio continues to explore how spaces, materials, and human experience intersect. The work reflects a commitment to integrity in design, a rejection of the disposable, and a belief that women belong at the forefront of building, creating, and shaping the environments around us.
